Call for applications 2019

From September 1st to November 1st

Attonuclei wishes to support future doctors by awarding a prize for
the quality of their thesis work.
A total amount of 15 000 € will be divided between the 3 PhD students selected.
They will each receive a 5 000 € prize, according to the following features:

Conditions of eligibility

• The prize is for a thesis in the field of quantum dots, connected with Nanobiotechnology, Nanomaterials or Nanoelectronics
• You must be enrolled in your last year of doctoral studies
• Thesis in a French or international research laboratory
• Your thesis must be in French or English

The selection criteria are as follows

• Quality of the advanced version of the thesis manuscript
• Innovative aspect of the research project
• Concrete aspect of the project whose applications could be exploitable in an industrial context
• Candidate’s ability to explain and promote their research

Application should include

• Advanced version of the thesis manuscript
• Certificate of enrollment in last year of doctorate
• Resume
• Cover letter
• List of publications and posters of the candidate
• Letter of recommendation from the thesis director
• Estimated cost breakdown associated with
proposed utilization of the prize

Award process

• Review of files by the Attonuclei Scientific Committee
• Preselection of candidates
• Hearing of shortlisted candidates
• Final choice of the three PhD students selected for the award of 5000 € each
• Interview

Provisional timetable

• Launch of the call for applications: September 2019
• Close of the call for applications: 1st November 2019
• Review of records: November 2019
• Audition of shortlisted candidates and final choice: December 2019
